In this 5 piece nesting egg set the little bunnies are hard at work coloring eggs for Easter. Each egg shows a different Hand Painting/Decoupage rabbit bungalow scene and was carved in the upper Volga region. The dolls then are delivered to the Golden Cockerel shop in St Petersburg, Russia.
The background is first hand painted with the details such as faces then added on a very thin vinyl adhesive. These elements are original works of art made especially for the design of nesting dolls. The magic of the artist's brush then blends these two art forms into a unified piece. A non-toxic water-based lacquer is then added in multiple layers, making a wonderful matryoshka, the delight of collectors as well as children.
Golden Cockerel's "Made in Russia" quality stamp and the artist's initial along with the date is then added to the bottom of the largest doll, making it a true collectable.
